A Q&A with Precious Wallace

Artist name: Precious Wallace. King P.
Artist location: Minneapolis (& on a plane)
Tell us about your style.
Color theory, storytelling, constant growth and joy evading different parts of life.
How do you experience art?
Simply by learning from the art, and doing the work to understand what the person/artist is trying to tell. The story is always important.
What is your creative process?
There is no creative process...this where logic is not needed. Creating from the heart is where my heart personally lives.
What motivates you?
To never be normal. To leave a mark on this world that was filled with impact. Something legendary.
What woman artist inspires you most?
Kara Walker.
What piece of art in this world means the most to you?
My paintings, because they are extremely a piece of me. The emotional part. Being a Capricorn and known for our logic so deeply, it would be surprising to find I have an emotional side. (aha)
Which artists are catching your attention this year?
Shaina McCoy is always my favorite. I haven't dived deep into any other artist.
