A true Minnesota icon, you may best remember Robyne Robinson from her 20 year career as an Emmy-winning news journalist and anchor at Fox9 News. The first African American to anchor a prime time newscast in Minnesota, Robyne was also the original creator and producer of KMSP’s local A&E segment “The Buzz” — which, among other things, landed her several coveted interviews with Prince. Robyne currently holds the position of Consulting Director for Arts @ MSP and Alliance Architects, overseeing visual and performing arts, as well public commissions at the MSP International Airport. She was a Democratic candidate for Lieutenant Governor in 2010, and as an entrepreneur, runs an arts consulting firm, fiveXfive, in addition to designing her own line of jewelry, ROX Minneapolis (which is sold across the US as well as in Greece and London).
