What Drives Alice Riot
Women artists hold less than 20% share of the $67 billion global art market. We encourage women to invest in female artists - starting with our wardrobes. Our artists make a commission off the sale of each numbered, limited-edition print on our apparel.
When you own it and wear it, you're helping raise the profile for female contemporary works. And when you are ready to add an original work to your collection, we're here to help.
There’s a story of women, creativity and power behind every Alice Riot garment. We invite you to #WearTheGallery - and help female artists grow.
Through classic silhouettes, wrinkle-free fabrics, an inclusive size range and limited-edition prints, Alice Riot encourages women to celebrate both female contemporary artists, as well as their own style and power.
Limited-Edition Prints, Classic Designs, Original Works
Each Alice Riot collection showcases the works of a contemporary female artist, offered on our designs in limited quantities. Our garments are the blank canvases for each collection: well-constructed, high quality, and consistent in design from one collection to the next. The original works of art for each collection are also available.
Kelly Groehler, co-founder and CEO
Kate Iverson, co-founder and chief creative officer (CCO)
Kelly, a corporate public relations strategist, and Kate, a creative director and contemporary artist, are longtime associates who share a mutual love of both contemporary art and personal style.
Women today are making gains in leadership roles, in greater control of our independence, and in earning stronger credit and respect for our contributions. We are by no means there yet, but Alice Riot is here to help. Kelly and Kate believe that women have so much to offer with a more creative, inspired approach each day to our work and our lives – including how we dress, and how we raise the visibility and credit for the works of female artists.
Who is Alice? Alice is Kate’s young niece. Alyce is Kelly’s beloved late great aunt. Alice Riot honors both the girl and the woman: the encouragement to break from tradition, to embrace creativity and culture, to support each other as women, and to authentically chase our dreams. We have girls to inspire, women to raise up with us, and a world to change for the better.
Let’s get dressed, ladies.
